Merci & Bonne Annee!

This will be my inspiration for 2011. To be more Zen like, have a Keep Calm and Carry On attitude. To enjoy life more and not just be all work!!!

An amazing year here at Beadboard. We laughed, we worked hard, we became a little reclusive......We made new blog friends, and shop friends. Beadboard UpCountry has taken some positive new direction this year, and I have been very lucky to have been involved in a beautiful interior design project.

As for us? Never got my Mora clock, but I'm working on it.

Never got the guest bath redone that will be on my list for next year. This is inspirational.

I never finished my dining room either.......
BUT now I actually know what I am going to do with it. I hate indecision.

My guestroom at least has paint swatches on the walls..........We actually bought the paint!!!!!

  2. Happy New Year to you too. Love your resolutions. At the top of my own list is to have more fun as well. We will never look back and wish we had done less of that. Let's compare notes at the end of 2011!

  5. WOW, was that photo of the Eiffel Tower taken on New Year's Eve? Forget Times Square; I want to celebrate New Year's in Paris one day! I also love, LOVE LOVE LOVE, that gorgeous photo of the French bedroom with the handpainted wallcovering and the lavish corona drapery over the daybed.

Don't feel too badly about your in-progress decorating projects at home. The cobbler's children never have any shoes, do they? I have partially finished my master bathroom, not started the master bedroom, dining room halfway finished and abandoned because I totally changed my mind about what i wanted to do, kids' rooms about 75% finished, and just started demolishing the kitchen countertops and backsplash. I'm most at home in the midst of remodeling and design projects. Once everything is finished, it's time to move on to another home and start all over again!

  14. Hi - I have a list like that too! I had thought of doing a New Year's resolution blogpost for "My House." I need to get certain things done - guest bath, our Master Bedroom and Bath - and I have to get a nursery ready (not for me - but for my youngest daughter who will give birth to a little girl in April). I am excited about doing the nursery...even though I will be doing two - one for her home and one for my home.

    Thanks for the post!

    Linda
