Anne de Solene & Sonia Rykiel Spring Linens! Fabulous!

 Because we carry Anne de Solene in the shop, and it is not only gorgeous on it's own but mixes so well with other things because of their wide array of Vexin solid sheets, I never miss seeing them in Paris.

This is new called ENVY (note the green towels?) Large peonies on a shell pink field soooo pretty!

The deco Pillow is one of two new ones with a satin bow on the corner.....

This fresh little darling is Augustine mixed with a smaller print Antoinette.  Shell pink solid Vexin sheeting shown here but it coordinates with Pistachio, Feuille de menthe, Raspberry, and Amethyste.

This is a vexin duvet with an adorable Paris pillow on a twin bed.

This pillow could hook up with a lot! Even a white slipcovered sofa! 

Now for the BIG Surprise!!!!!

The new softer look of Sonia Rykiel.  Her signature Maison line always was bold black stripes and bold colors...... I am lovin this......A white applique like look. The knit cushions with medallions in the corner and throws are to die for.

Lovin the tassels on these too.  I went nuts for this and we might be carrying it in the shop.

Signature towels and robes.  But here is the most fun thing.........

The blue beach stripe with the BIG BOW!!!!! How fun is this??????? Perfect for a beach house????

Arte Pura goes to College!!

On july 9th of this year I blogged about our Arte Pura muse..... We call her Miss Beadboard.

She is attending a major university, is in a sorority, was a cheerleader, gets good grades, and has awesome parents.  MB fell in love with this bed, the Sorgente in the peachy Armonia Old.

Soooo, she sent up pictures of HER new room at school. 

She chose the Ciotello spread in the same peachy color accented with greys and whites.

How this for student digs????????

Evidently it is getting high marks with her sorority sisters already.

Here's the evento slipcover in the Gesso Old at her worktable....

The puckered bag it comes in is being used to carry the MAC.

 Oh and we love the Arte Kleenex box in the white terry with the Swarovski Crystal.

So, my apologies for not commenting so much lately... I've had the "schmutz" like a mini flu, and I'm leaving for Paris for Maison et Object tomorrow with a battery of over the counter cold medicine,

while leaving the shop in Peter's capable hands.  

I will be meeting the designer and the team from Arte Pura,

and seeing their new fall collection in person...

(I already have the pictures but have to keep them under wraps until after the show.......)

All I can say is it is incredible!!!!!!!!!!  Over the top with a few surprises.

So I will be scouting out the latest and greatest for all of you fabulous people.......;)

Ok, so my camera went south on me during the Deco Off.....Not to worry,

Designer's Guild, they never fail to dissappoint.

Loved this vignette from Osbourne and Little...The topiaries are even in the floor covering. Look at the way the little trees seem to be 3 D.

January in Paris?! YES!!!!!!

We're BAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!! In Paris, at La Carrotte our home away from home,

in this fabulous city. Why January?

Because of this. This apartement is fabulous anytime. But this week is Maison et Object the design and home decor market of Europe and it overlaps one day with fashion week. AND....The second year of the DECO OFF, the design walk with 50 showrooms throughout the city opening their doors to show off and compare with each other as to who has the "au courrant" styles in textiles, furniture and other design accroutrements. We are here, your roving reporters sucking up champagne and macaroons the size of hockey pucks for you, our readers!!!!!!
