This is with the elegant lace trim and the Evento Slipcover...

The elegant lace down the center on the left and on a border on the right.

crochet runner....

The Geometrica organza over linen in a diamond pattern on a tablecloth and runner.

The tulle lace in assorted pieces and some eyelet runners folded in the back on the left.
On the right the more contemporary shirred lace covered by an unbellished tablecloth.

Left The Geomectrica mixed with the Arabesque embroidery and on the right the crochet lace.

A close up of the Arabesque embroidery..............With the little linen basket and a napkin.

Arte Italica Fab New Introductions

I LOVED LOVED LOVED this new collection from Arte Italica!
Called Amorini, it depicts hand painted delicate grapes and vines with a rustic textured border. The chargers are very rustic and are offered in red and a cool green.

You must enlarge this.  I took at the showroom in Dallas and they showed it with Murano Glass serveware.
There was also wonderful serveware in the Amorini collection.
I loved this cakestand and pitcher.  The whimsical cherubs were copied from an old Italian Fresco.  One of the main reasons I love this is because it's colors are so easy to play off of for any season, I can see this for a Thanksgiving table, and also for Christmas as the grapes look like holly.  I am considering this for one of my xmas windows......I know with An Arte Pura Tablecloth in the right color.......It would rock.!

This is the serving bowl... Just lovely......

This is Merletto introduced last year..The square platter used as a charger.
Made with black clay and pressed with a pattern of lace....Offered in Antique White, and Aqua, the new colors are Sage, Bronze and Mocha. ( the latter two shown here ) With te Painted Rosone dinner plate.

Merletto aqua with the antique white....

Dress it up for holidays by adding a bronze charger.....
I think a holiday table tweaked with this motif would be wow!

These are some other new offerings... Dipping Bowls, Tureen and Casseroles Made with French Porcelain by Pillivuyt, and artisinal Italian pewter by Arte Italica...Don't you just love it when the French and Italians collaborate?!  Arriving in stores Mid September..... If you have an interest let us know....
I know they will be popular!!!!!

The Casserole with the Lobster top....More to come soon.......What's your thoughts on these...?????

Spring!!!!Chez Beadboard..

It was such a beautiful day I wanted to take some
photos of my Spring window. Alas! My windows are tinted so everything came outside...
Here is table set for one (Joni hates when I do that) but it's a 30" round so what are you going to do......We made the tableskirt out of Milkpaint White pre washed linen... Over it is a square Arte Pura tablecloth in the pinky beige Polevere Old with Crochet lace trim. OMG! Are there some Carolyn Quartermaine Pale Pink Irish Linen chairs with gold script????
Mais OUI!!!!

The table setting is a "Spring Mix", not to be confused with salad in a box...
Runner is Arte Pura. Victtoria Glass with gold rim, and the Veronica Flatware Pewter and stainless by Arte Italica. Dinnerware is Juliska, Bamboo mixed with Berry and Thread. One candle, Eiffel Tower shaped, Point a la Ligne.

And the thing that makes it rock??????? The Silk Shitake "shrooms" in spring colors
By Hot Skwash!!!
Daria has taken stems from her famous Velvet Pumpkins and inverted some of the stems making these delectable Shitake Mushrooms also signed in gold script. So now I am officially OVER the EGG thing....... And, the question is what came first the gold script shitakes or the gold script chairs???????? Hmmmmm...
What do you think?????

Christmas Beadboard Style

Here she is our "Pixie Fairie" the good luck charm for the shop. Robes named her "Marais".
So now she is ours..........Happily adorning the window perched on the gorgeous Arte Italica Lucia candlelabra......She's happy...

She's in good company with the "Merletto Antique" lace adorned dinnerware from Arte Italica and the Veronica Flatware with the beads......Stemware is new Vittoria offered in Silver or Gold.

Christmas without Arte Pura????? NO Way! The little Portaoggetti Piccolo with Swarovski Crystal.

Candles from Pointe a la Ligne, France, in Eiffel Tower shapes and tapers in silver and pearl.

Bella Bianca dinnerware from Arte with the Giglio Flatware and a little white glass amaryllis vase.

Merletto Antique Pitcher, kind of reminds me of Astier.......

Mercury Glass finials with a ruffled Vapor bowl by Maureen Whelton a Vancouver designer.
Very Laliquish?

My whimsical table setting with the paint can votive holders and the paintbrush candles.... Dinnerware is Juliska Octavia with their new adorable "Boxwood and Bows" cocktail and salad plates... I love these for the xmas season and all year round.........Flatware is stainless by Ercuis France, in their Bali Pattern. Ercuis is not that well known in this country but they are silversmiths going back to the 1800's. Word has it their stainless will be on the new Cunard Ship the Normandie.

And of course there is no better party or hostess gift than a Bloem Box. Whatever bulb flower is depicted on top of the beautiful hatbox is the bulb, white pot and soil inside.... They grow beautifully we have carried for three years and have several happy customers that have emailed us pictures of theirs in full bloom.
This is the Stargazer Amaryllis red and white.

And the best good luck charm of all our Beadboard Gazing sheep with his Christmas red ribbon "bow tie". He's graced many a buffet table is this area..... A great addition to a country house......OR any house.

Autumn Table Settings in NYC

You can always count on Arte Italica to set a STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL table at market. You would think all tabletop companies do but that is not the case........This is a new introduction, Vigna Vecchia or Old Vineyard, a Tuscan scene in a soft hand painted red with a rustic creamy background of picturesque farmhouses and tall cypress trees......This lovely dinnerware is paired with a new introduction in stemware Ambra. I love these glasses, the only color other than clear I like especially this time of year...... I encourage you to click on these pictures to enlarge or you will miss detail....

This was Libeco Lagae, where Ed Reisert and his team skillfully presented their linen line.....Colors are fabulous..... My favorite is the Faro sheer linen voile offered insome of these colors........Also I love the Frescati runners shown here, they are damask like and reversible.....The borders on the runners are the same fabric turned over......

I love this table..... A not so little country French Table that is substantial and folds up....Retails in the 450 range......... for that French Country look offered by Comptoir de Famille. Great for dining al fresco.......I ordered for the shop......It is great.....

Back to Arte Italica a relatively new offering the mini casseroles and tea/ coffee pots with pewter lids with butterflies perched on top, hens, lambs, a bee on the honeypot. Just adorable named Compagna and Giardino. Some of these guys are on their way to Beadboard as we speak.

There was a lot of this chain motif this year. These platters and vase are oversized and WOW!
Paired with their new stemware they were gorgeous!
They are called Pallazzo.

I ordered these in the gold and silver, the Vittoria stemware... I would like to say why...The marketplace is, at this time, overloaded with gorgeous stemware that if you offer up a toast and clink the glass you WORRY............ Not the case with these. They have heft, are delicate looking and have beautiful shapes... Note the thickness of the glass where the stem starts....

Another example of the Vittoria stemware in the silver. This time paired with Merletto Antique. I loved this, a soup plate with lace detail in a putty color and a grey in the lace.......It is yummy as is the pitcher in the background. Also available in Aqua. Look at it paired with the glass and pewter flatware......Teture and elegance....More New York adventures to come!!!!
Libeco Lagae, Arte Italica and Comptoir de Famille available at Beadboard UpCountry.....
