Merci & Bonne Annee!

This will be my inspiration for 2011. To be more Zen like, have a Keep Calm and Carry On attitude. To enjoy life more and not just be all work!!!

An amazing year here at Beadboard. We laughed, we worked hard, we became a little reclusive......We made new blog friends, and shop friends. Beadboard UpCountry has taken some positive new direction this year, and I have been very lucky to have been involved in a beautiful interior design project.

As for us? Never got my Mora clock, but I'm working on it.

Never got the guest bath redone that will be on my list for next year. This is inspirational.

I never finished my dining room either.......
BUT now I actually know what I am going to do with it. I hate indecision.

So, thanks to all my blog friends, and I hope to make some new ones in the coming year...This media has certainly enhanced our lives and the shop's personna. Wishing you all, and your families a prosperous and Happy New Year
from Maryanne and Robes.

  1. Happy New Year to you! So happy you had a good
2010 and are prospering. I love seeing the
photos of your shop, and your inspirational
ideas. Someday maybe I can visit in person.
    Here's to a fabulous 2011!

  2. Happy New Year to you too. Love your resolutions. At the top of my own list is to have more fun as well. We will never look back and wish we had done less of that. Let's compare notes at the end of 2011!

  3. Greetings Maryanne,

Wishing you a New Year full of happiness, delight and continued design inspiration.

  4. Maryanne and Robes,
Tall Husband and I wish you a happy New Year!

  5. WOW, was that photo of the Eiffel Tower taken on New Year's Eve? Forget Times Square; I want to celebrate New Year's in Paris one day! I also love, LOVE LOVE LOVE, that gorgeous photo of the French bedroom with the handpainted wallcovering and the lavish corona drapery over the daybed.

Don't feel too badly about your in-progress decorating projects at home. The cobbler's children never have any shoes, do they? I have partially finished my master bathroom, not started the master bedroom, dining room halfway finished and abandoned because I totally changed my mind about what i wanted to do, kids' rooms about 75% finished, and just started demolishing the kitchen countertops and backsplash. I'm most at home in the midst of remodeling and design projects. Once everything is finished, it's time to move on to another home and start all over again!

  6. Happy New Year Maryanne, to you and Robes.
I love your Inspiration for 2011 and all the gorgeous photographs you have shared.
May you have much love, joy, good health and many blessings this year.
It is always a delight to come and visit you and thanks for all you share.

  7. Maryanne such great inspiration! I love the image of the Eiffel Tower!

  11. Maryanne - I'm grateful for meeting you & Robes in 2010. I look forward to more moments like that in the New Year. Life is truly about the connections we make and the friendships that are made. You always inspire me!
    (Anderson Cooper aye?..)

    Love to you both,

  12. Happy new year ... Bonne année to both of you

  13. I am loving that bath! Its funny how a simple faucet running separate from the ground can look so chic!

  14. Hi - I have a list like that too! I had thought of doing a New Year's resolution blogpost for "My House." I need to get certain things done - guest bath, our Master Bedroom and Bath - and I have to get a nursery ready (not for me - but for my youngest daughter who will give birth to a little girl in April). I am excited about doing the nursery...even though I will be doing two - one for her home and one for my home.

    Thanks for the post!
